About me!
Hi, I’m Cheà (pronounced “Shay”). I started this account about four years ago to share Black American archives and culture. Rare photos, lost files, and moments that might otherwise be forgotten. This space is for my people: to honor our struggles, celebrate our beauty, and preserve the stories that history too often overlooks. Think of it as a love letter to Black life, past and present <3
Where do I get my archives?
I get my content from a mix of sources: the Wayback Machine, Flickr, college archive websites, state archive websites, my own family archives, and sometimes even random corners of the internet or submissions from others!!
